ii) the club may only be dissolved with a whole majority margin upon vote only by the National Executive committee members.
b) Upon dissolution of the club, after all club and Trustee liabilities have been cleared, all remaining financial and material assets shall be given to the inaugural chairman, inaugural secretary and inaugural treasurer 50% 25% 25% respectively.
14. UKAPP General Activities
a) All activities shall be published on the UKAPP website for every member to have the chance to participate in.
b) UKAPP remains impartial towards players choice of venues and where to play, however some venues and events require pre registration, UKAPP members are obliged to comply with the pre-registration procedure and it is their responsibility to do so, failure to do so may result in players being excluded from the game they failed to pre-register for correctly.
c) UKAPP will maintain an 80% minimum amount of league venues where games are held to be accessible to disabled and impaired members, some venues are simply not licenced correctly due to physical access/egress/traffic or accessible, all venues are vetted in a procedure outlined by the NEC.
d) UKAPP will hold the league grand final quarterly
15. Standardised rules and league participation requirements
Players wil be subject to each individual venues set of rules but scoring and ukapp league system has to be uniformed in reporting
a) during the course of a season, only TILT events are allowed to be held at double points.
b) Bust outs MUST be recorded as part of any league event
c) New players to any affiliated venue must be made clear of any varient rules before play commences
d) any events that offer a top up or second chance rebuy to players in the same stake buyin to players record bust outs at the final point the player busts and credits the person who busted them accordingly
e) Results of games must be reported and input by 6pm the following day so that the table remains displayed correctly and as currently up to date as possible, HARDCOPY RESULT SHEETS ARE TO BE KEPT BY THE TD FOR A MINIMUM OF ONE FORTNIGHT FOLLOWING A GAME, if any errors are made in the chronology of the recorded results when inputting they can be edited but pending league investigation of the correct outcome, the league reserves the right to reject any claim from a player to the results being different other than the reported declared result at the point it was uploaded by the ukapp TD/affiliate returning the result.
f) Usually only One games results per venue per night may be recorded and uploaded, unless there is a shortfall in players attending, the shortfall is set at 12 players or less, eg if you hold a night and only have 7 players you may upload 2 games results as some venues hold 2 games as standard as per their league night structure. Only Results from games with 4 players or more will be accepted, if results are found to be falsified or recorded as incomplete appropiate action will be taken ie: a game will be voided if a chop occurs 3 handed or more as bust outs cannot be determined.
g) If results are not returned by the last day of the season those results WILL NOT BE CREDITED or added post-season.
h) League seasons are as follows: SPRING 1st Jan to 31st March, SUMMER 1st April to 30th June, AUTUMN 1st July to 30th september, WINTER 1st October 31st December
i) In normal league Games Points are scored as follows, First Place 25%, Second Place 15%, Third Place 10%, Fourth Place 9%, Fifth Place 8%, Sixth PLace 7%, Seventh Place 6%, Eighth Place 5%, Ninth Place 3%, Tenth Place 2%, 11th-20th Place 1% Depending on where you finish in that game, you will earn a certain percentage of those points, with a double points game the attending players input 200 points each to the pool thus doubling the pool
j) UKAPP does not dictate the structure any venue employs but does seek to provide a good standard of texas holdem and expects affiliated venues to uphold the basic rules of the game, whereas one venue may have slightly different rules to another, the principles, etiquette and general ethics of the game must be adhered to. Any existing game that then chooses to affiliate to UKAPP must be prepared to make only a few minor changes in order to conduct a game effectively, this does not mean we require you to change anything about the way you do things just to adopt a common way of thinking when considering that they now have become part of a wider thing and now must record the results as such.
k) League Games Must be Held on an public open access basis even if in a private members club (pre reg rules apply) ukapp members must be allowed to play any scheduled listed league game in order to be able to acrue points, games held without access will be refused reporting to the site. exceptions are made to this is if a game requires certain requirements set in order to access it, ie qualification or eligibility to play, listed venues are only given full exposure in written print if open access is provided as the protocol, provision for advance pre registration is made via central UKAPP based source so it is open to all members and not by any external or affiliate means whereby a player may attend but will then be excluded from play for not following a protocol they may not be aware of. If Eligibility requirements must be met then players who are illedgible will not be permitted to play, qualification requirements are the lines laid down to aim for, these cannot be changed due to integrity of the club, however certain aspects of circumstances permit allowances for example if the landlord want to play such a game in their venue and isnt eligible we would allow them to play as the event is being hosted by them we would permit it.
l) Monthly Occuring Venues work over a collated 12 month annual league that is not displayed on the site, they are permitted to input up to 4 games per quarter, the top 25% of that venues league table Qualify for the league grand final after the 3rd month, if only 2 months are played then it is the only the top 20% as a maximum and if there is only one month played before the end of season then only the top 10% qualify for finals.
m) a venue MUST complete a miniumum of 9 games over 9 seperate dates in a season for a winner to be declared in that venue, the overall league is ony considered as valid when 2 or more venues complete more than 9 games on seperate dates in within one 3 month season.
n) both club and affiliate TD expectations are to keep within the ethics of the game and represent both the venue and UKAPP to the most efficient level whilst baring in mind the social aspect of the game and that players also have rights, this does not give any player a reason to question a TD's decision or bear impact to any game to gain an advantage, any such complaint should be lodged using section 9 of this constitution.
o) Although affiliate venues may conduct variations in rules and methods to run thier poker nights we try to keep UKAPP-ran games within the TDA official rules found here: http://www.pokertda.com/custom_posts/view-official-tda-rules/
p) etiquette and general manners whilst playing are as follows:
i) Individuals must maintain a level of Respect towards fellow players and the environment they are playing in.
ii) clear forward motion and release as a gesture of a players cards toward the muck in a hand will constitute a fold, if the table does not have a betting line, should a table have a betting line, once cards are released over the line they are mucked, this also applies to a call with chips un-announced, any chip placed in gesture of action constitutes a call if no verbal action is made. if the hand is over and any further action remains undeclared, the hand of person who failed to act before the community cards are mucked is declared dead.
iii) blinds posted do not count at a certian level if the blinds go up before the deck is cut unless there was a dealer error in making the deck set, we try not to operate on the 'blinds were in' rule as this is an incorrect method of self deal tournament play.
iv) calling for a clock is allowed across the tournament on any table, 10% of a blind level is the normal time allowed so for example at 15 min binds, after the last action 90 seconds has to pass before calling a clock then a further 50 seconds is counted down until the clock-called players hand is declared dead.
v) talking about a hand in play is forbidden unless you are facing a decision as the last to act heads up, also while you are not involved the hand after folding, it will result in a one round penalty, a hand may only be discussed at a point of heads up last to act and cards exposed at this point will still be live if last to act.
vi) Rabbitting and Ferreting for deck and mucked cards whilst action is still live is forbidden and punishable by a 1 round penalty, that said, after play has ceased this may occur if not causing play to stall, nevertheless it remains scorned upon unless agreed by every player seated at the table prior to the cards being sought. frequent showing players or spectators off the table your cards whilst still live will result in the showing players cards being made dead, it is purley down to a coaching rule and reaction by the players can be seen as an angle, talking about what cards you folded or indeed coaxing action from the table by suggesting action will result in people being asked to leave the table.
vii) Mobile Phones cannot be used whilst sat at the table while you have live cards in play, if you are using your handset when your live cards are in play your hand will be mucked.
viii) respect for a TD decision must be adhered to, this maintains intergirty and order if a TD feels violated or contradicted in any way they may remove the players chips and the players stake WILL NOT be refunded
ix) Obnoxious or drunken behaviour in the poker room environment will NOT be tolerated if 50% of a field of remaining players feel someone has become far too intoxicated or is being too loud whilst representing the clubs interests in a venue they will be asked to maintain themselves in a proper manner or on the second time of asking the venues management will be asked to remove the player from the venue at that point.
x) Play is undertaken in tournament play, so tables are balanced as players bust out, tables are duly broken as the field diminishes until a final table is declared at which point players will be asked to draw a card to determine the table seating positions, this format is the expected standard but with each affiliates set of rules other formats may be used to complete the game withing texas holdem framework rules, this could be a shoot out ie: top 'x' from each starting table to form a final table which the clock must be paused when the last table completed and the last level of play run through the same amount of time from when the first table stopped playing, or if a heads up situation this must be completed in pre-listed tiers,
xi) acting out of turn; we operate a 2 strike rule, afterwhich a 1 round penalty will be imposed, as well as this clear betting is required at all points, spoken announcements of action is binding, pre flop betting with one chip and no verbal statement constitutes as a call, post flop dropping a single chip in BEFORE announcing the bet size will be a bet sized to the amount placed forward
xii) English is the only language to be spoken at the table DURING a hand
xiii) If You are not in your seat when dealt your cards may be mucked.
q) Late Registration Rules, we expect venues to ahere to the following late reg policy if they offer it:
i) Players who inform a venue manager they are attending late and request a stack is placed on the table will be blinded out chronologically from the start or during the late reg period, they must be in attendance and have played a hand, before the points finishing place is at 10th place or the stack will be removed and any stake returned regardless if they have had someone buy them in or not, it is unethical to award league points if the player is absent without even playing a hand. this creates a no late reg rule if the game starts with 8/9/10 players as it creates and unfair situation for those who bust out initially.
ii) late reg is offered with an in-play reduction (post) in some venues this reduction must be the total sum (rounded up) of the big blind plus the small blind to be posted in the next pot as the player is seated
iii) late registration is offered for the period advertised in each venue, but however if a game was late starting and offers 30 mins, or 2 levels at 15 min blinds of late reg, it is done chronologically as the priority and not on the advertised late reg time
iv) alternates may be accepted if a games capacity is full and players wish to late reg, for example if a venue has a capacity 27 runners seated, it may offer any late comers empty seats for up to an hour after the game starting ONLY IF the seats become available through players busting out, players should not be seated at unbalanced tables or to cause an inbalance unless a seat becomes available, alternates must post as per any other late registration at the level they are seated at (see ii)
r) Bust outs are recorded at the final point a player is out of the game, if 2 or 3 players chop an uneven pot and a player busts, the least aggressive, ie committed player gets the bust out furthest out of position as chips are immdaitely more valuable the player closest the button gets the extra, if the pot is evenly split the player is busted by the person nearest the button.
s) Chops are not permitted at UKAPP-ran league events and any TD of an affiliate event should take great care in applying ICM and awarding points for placings if a chop is the only option to decide an outcome of a game, this should only be done only under special circumstances, this must be fairly agreed amongst players, we want points be scored fairly, if there is an EQUAL chop we ask that they are played on for the same way even though the dynamic of the games monetary reward has changed, if an immediate ICM EQUITY based chop occurs due to a game having to end at that point, with agreement by all players, the TD must record the greatest amount in chips as having made 1st place at the time of the chop and so forth but ONLY if the game has a valid reason to end at that point and not just because the players want to end the game (ie the game has gone on longer than the premises is allowed to be open for) the league reserves the right to void the points of players that discuss a proposed chop at any point during or after a game this also applies to affiliates seen to be awarding points from chopped games, any players found to be discussing a chop in-play will be credited as last place league points.
t) once your stake is placed in the pot and play commences it is no longer refundable under any circumstance
u) a shorted pot will require an investigation as to who failed to pay on sign-in, if the situation remains unresolved then the player who won the game will be allowed to play for nothing in the next game at that venue. any person found to be intentionally trying to evade making payment of their stake will be banned for a season.
v) General Ukapp League structure:
We offer standard game blind structure as a base for all affiliates to use although this may not be the format offered in any particular venue, 15 mins with the following levels:
25/50 - 50/100 - 100/200 - 200/400 10 min break 300/600 - 400/800 - 600/1200 - 800/1600 10 min break 1200/2400 - 1600/3200 - 2k/4k - 3k/6k 10 min break 4k/5k - 5k/10k - 6k/12k - 8k/16k - 10k/20k
w) under ukapp format rules blinds may be shortened to 10 mins at the end of a game (if started at 15 mins) or 15 mins (if started at 20 mins) this is only if the game is dragging and may not be completed by the venues closing time, anyone stalling or taking an unncessary amount of time to make decisions when at the end of a game from 3 handed onwards, may have a 30 second clock called on them after 40 seconds after the last action IF the blinds have been shortened see section 14.o.iv for further rules on the clock being called.
x) If a venues results are witheld for more than 1 calendar month UKAPP reserves the right to disaffiliate the venue from the league and any points outstanding will become null and void to the league standings, if a venue disaffiliates, closes or stops holding poker and lets UKAPP know by oral or written consent with more than 50% of the games completed prior to a season ending UKAPP will seek the nearest posible venue to hold the remaining games in until a replacement venue is sought for in the following season, UKAPP reserves the right to migrate any of its league tables and players at any point.
16. Prizes
a) No cash or material value will be awarded as a prize incentive for winning any ukapp league table by UKAPP.
b) The overall league table awards 4 trophy places per season, 1st place overall UKAPP league winner, the highest average is awarded for 50% a 3 month season in games played by the player with the biggest average scored less double ponts, the ninja award that is defined by the site stats, and the bust out award for most aggressive player overall
